Within the Other phone, the SafetyMode settings allow you to set:
Home Screen Layout
Choose between two interface options to match your child's needs:
List View (Default)
- Simple, minimalist layout displaying apps in a clean list format
- Designed for younger children or parents wanting to minimize phone usage
- Reduces distractions and encourages intentional device use
Grid View
- Traditional smartphone grid layout similar to standard Android/iOS
- Gives children a familiar experience comparable to their friends' phones
- Maintains all safety features while providing a conventional interface
Notification Management
Notification Blocker Controls which apps can send notifications to your child's device. Prevents distracting or inappropriate alerts from reaching your child, with parents deciding which apps have notification permissions.
Web Content Filtering
Adult Website Blocking
- Automatically blocks access to an extensive database of adult websites
- Protection works across all browsers, including in-app browsers (cannot be bypassed)
- Prevents VPN installation that could circumvent filtering
Custom Website Controls
- Whitelist: Approve specific websites for unrestricted access
- Blacklist: Block additional websites beyond the default filter
- Social Media: Block mobile versions of social media platforms independently
Content Filter Management
Banned Words List Customize which words are filtered from your child's content:
- Add to blacklist: Include additional words you want filtered
- Add to whitelist: Remove words from the filter you consider appropriate
SafetyMode Control Toggle CanDo's content filtering on or off. When disabled, all content restrictions are removed and the device operates without filters.
SafetyMode Updates Keep your content filters current by updating to the latest protection database, ensuring coverage of new websites and content categories.
